新华社北京1998年1月21日电北京市第十一届人民代表大会第一次会议1月20日任命张健民为北京市人大常委会主任，汪统、段柄仁、陶西平、洪绂曾、王大中、范远谋、王维城、张燕丽（女）为市人大常委会副主任；任命贾庆林为市长，金人庆、孟学农、林文漪（女）、岳福洪、汪光焘、刘海燕、刘敬民、张茅为副市长；任命秦正安为市高级人民法院院长。

On January 20, the first session of the 11th Beijing Municipal People’s Congress appointed Zhang Jianmin as director of the Beijing Municipal People’s Congress Standing Committee. Wang Tong, Duan Pingren, Tao Xiping, Hong Fuzeng, Wang Dazhong, Fan Yuanmou, Wang Weicheng, and Zhang Yanli (females) are deputy directors of the Municipal People’s Congress Standing Committee; Jia Qinglin is appointed as mayor, Jin Renqing, Meng Xuenong, Lin Wenyi (females), Yue Fuhong, Wang Guangtao, Liu Haiyan, Liu Jingmin, and Zhang Mao are appointed as deputy mayors; Qin Renqing is appointed as deputy mayor Zheng’an is the president of the Municipal Higher People’s Court.
