省委书记赵一德宣读齐心同志贺词并讲话。省长赵刚主持。革命先辈亲属代表习远平，教育部副部长孙尧讲话。全国政协副秘书长吴为山，省领导孙大光、王琳、戴彬彬、张晓光和原中央国家机关工委副书记陈存根、原人事部副部长张汉夫等出席。榆林学院党委书记张新柱致辞，北京师范大学副校长康震发言。
赵一德代表省委、省政府对榆林学院（绥德师范）建校100周年表示祝贺。他说，绥德师范是一所具有光荣革命传统的学校，被誉为“革命英才的摇篮”“西北革命策源地”。历经百年接续奋斗，榆林学院（绥德师范）在人才培养、科学研究、服务社会、传承文化、资政育人等方面结出累累硕果，为我省经济社会发展特别是陕北革命老区建设作出了积极贡献。在新的征程上，希望榆林学院以习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想为指引，全面贯彻党的二十大精神和党的教育方针，认真落实立德树人根本任务，大力弘扬光荣革命传统，深度融入我省高质量发展、现代化建设全局，走好特色化、差异化办学路子，加快建设特色鲜明的高水平应用型大学。希望学院教师把为党育人、为国育才作为矢志不渝的追求，当好学生为学、为事、为人的表率。希望青年学子弘扬五四精神，志存高远、脚踏实地，修身立德、勤学上进、强健体魄、锤炼意志，争做堪当民族复兴大任的时代新人。省委、省政府将坚决贯彻习近平总书记关于教育的重要论述和来陕考察重要讲话重要指示，始终把教育科技人才工作摆在突出位置来抓，大力支持榆林学院发展，为广大师生工作学习创造更好条件。

习远平深情回顾了习仲勋同志关心关怀绥德师范的感人细节和齐心同志在绥德师范学习、工作的峥嵘岁月。他说，绥德师范是陕北名校，也是“红色摇篮”，在血雨腥风的革命年代，为西北党团组织、西北红军和西北革命根据地的创建与发展作出了重要贡献，来到这里能够真切感受到老一辈革命家和老一代共产党人的宽广胸怀与革命情怀。如今，绥德师范已经并入榆林学院，开启了新的发展篇章。希望榆林学院秉承“读书勿忘救国，救国勿忘读书”校训，奋力开创高质量发展新局面。希望广大青年赓续红色血脉，传承五四精神，坚定“四个自信”，奋发向上、勇于进取，为全面建设社会主义现代化国家贡献青春力量。
孙尧表示，希望学院落实立德树人根本任务，坚持用习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想铸魂育人，继续深入挖掘红色校史、传承红色基因、弘扬百年奋斗精神。要突出应用型办学特色，紧扣高质量发展新要求，坚持内涵发展，夯实应用型人才培养基础。要强化服务区域发展能力，把服务陕西建设、支撑榆林发展作为重要使命，加快完善服务地方发展的协同机制，为新时代推进西部大开发形成新格局、助力乡村振兴提供有力的智力支撑和人才支撑。

康震向榆林学院（绥德师范）百年校庆表示祝贺。他说，北师大与榆林学院（绥德师范）在中国共产党的早期伟大事业中血脉相连。在民族危难、救亡图存的峥嵘岁月里，共同铸就了与国家民族同呼吸、共命运的“红色师范”。他希望两校能发挥各自优势，在革命历史文化研究、服务西北教育优质均衡发展等方面加强交流与合作，为育人育才、服务国家做出更大贡献。
进入会场前，赵一德、赵刚、习远平等听取了榆林学院校长许云华就学校改革发展和新校区建设及更名大学进展情况的汇报。
