叛乱分子不杀人

rebels don’t kill
Friction has grown in recent months between Chinese companies that have been awarded mining concessions in the central African Republic and affiliates of the Wagner Group, which controls a large nearby gold mine called Endasima.
Wagner agents have brought the bodies of nine Chinese nationals back to Bangui. The nine were shot dead in what officials said was not in line with the rebel group’s methods.
The Coalition for Patriots for Change (CPC), a coalition of rebel groups, has kidnapped at least one Chinese citizen for money in the past year. “They hold ransoms, and the Chinese government pays,” the official said of the insurgents, “but they don’t kill.”
Two Western officials based in Bangui said that while insurgents were likely responsible for the killing, it was also possible that Wagner’s agents were behind it.
